2500 workers flee from a skyscraper fire in Kuwait - 62 storey construction site evacuated
A huge fire has broken out at the National Bank of Kuwait skyscraper, with more than 2,500 workers evacuated from the 62-storey building.
A skyscraper under construction for the National Bank of Kuwait caught fire Kuwait City on Thursday.
The bank on Twitter described the blaze as a "partial fire" and said firefighters had extinguished 90 percent of it.
There were no reports as to whatight have caused the fire. Kuwaiti civil defense officials did not immediately comment on it.
The 62-story tower will be around 300 meters (about 980 feet) tall when it is finished.
