CTIF President Milan Dubravac and the vice president of CTIF E&NT Commission Michel Gentilleau attended the annual OBA Conference in Santiago de Chile on September 4 and 5.
CTIF president Milan Dubravac (Slovenia) presented the latest updates on CTIF activities to all the member countries present at the assembly.
Michel Gentilleau (France) gave a lecture on the CTIF cooperation with EURO NCAP cooperation from a worldwide perspective. Michel Gentilleau is the vice chair of the CTIF Commission for Extrication and New Technology.
This was the 5th annual assembly of the South American Association of Fires Services (OBA), with which CTIF has a Memorandum of Understanding.
From the United States, CTIF was also represented by vice president Otto Drozd, who was also there in his role as the official secretary of METRO Fire Chiefs, which is an association consisting of US fire services in cities of one million and more in population.
CTIF also has a memorandum of understanding with METRO Fire Chiefs since several years.
A year ago, in August of 2023, a small delegation of CTIF leaders also went to the OBA conference, which was in Antiqua, Guatemala. Besides networking, Milan Dubravac then also held a presentation about The CTIF - International Association of Fire Services, as an organization, and about the benefits of membership, to all the South American member countries present at the OBA Assembly.
