Delegates Assembly in Marseille 2021 - Detailed information about the week

Personal airport shuttle transport will be arranged from Marseille-Provence Airport to the hotel for delegates when arriving in and leaving Marseille.

The French National Congress for Firefighters will be held at the congress center Parc Chanot from 13 to 17 October 2021, and all CTIF delegates are welcome and encouraged to participate in all activities during the four days of the event.  

Shortly we will publish the detailed program for the week with, and also a guide for leisure activities in Marseille. 

 

The Delegates Assembly will be held Friday October 15 at 8:30 am, Central European Time. Both the digital and the physical meeting space will open 45 minutes before. 

 

For those attending virtually, please check your time zone as the start time of 8:30 AM is local, French time.(CET) We recommend using an online time zone calculator such as TimeAndDate.com.

Double room (2 adults) : 159,00€/night, breakfast included (+ local tax)

Transport from the hotel to the congress venue

The hotel is located six stops, or about 20 min by metro to Marseille Chanot Congress Centre. Traffic is very dense in the center of Marseille, so please do not travel by car or taxi. 

The NH Collection Marseille is located in the city’s business and leisure district – La Joliette – on one of its best shopping streets. From here, you have easy access to  restaurants and bars: Enjoy drinks at Le Vieux Port, just a short walk away, Visit « Le Panier » – the city’s vibrant, picturesque old town. Browse the boutiques at newly opened malls “Les Terrasses du Port” and “Docks Village”.

 

Languages: 

The CTIF Delegates’ Assembly will be held in English, with French and German interpretation. The Russian National CTIF Committee is also arranging a Russian interpretation for Russian remote attendees.

The Fire-in conference and the International conference will be held in English. The General Assembly of the French Firefighters’ Association will be held in French, with English interpretation. Additional conferences will be held in French.

Final Program of both conferences to be announced shortly.

Covid Safety

Travellers from within Europe, UK, US, and Canada currently need NO PCR-test to enter France, only proof of vaccine. However things can change and everyone is responsible to check local rules. 

PCR - tests will be made available every day at the congress venue through the French fire services; also before departure back to your home country for those who need it for travel.

To access to the Congress Centre, participants must present a health pass to enter. Passes can be digital or in paper form (proof of vaccination or test result). They include a QR code that will be scanned on entry into the venue.

  • For Opening ceremony and French Firefighters’ General assembly:

    If possible on uniform; otherwise semi-formal/business
  • For buffet-gala: business casual

 

Welcome – receiving badges

Upon first arrival at the Congress Centre, please present yourself at the Information Desk in order to collect your event badge.
