There were lot of important topics on the agenda for the meeting day: for Extrication, various projects were discussed, like the Euro NCAP,  ISO17840, C.A.R.S , Solar Panels, presentation of how to deal with fires in lithium-ion batteries and the release of a new logo for the Commission.

The goldmine has used a lot of new technologies in an interesting way in their solutions underground. Excursions were also made to two local fire stations, where participants were able to see Defence Forces’ arctic rescue vehicle, and Levi Ski Resort, where participants learnt about local capability to rescue people from ski lifts and slopes.

The event was organized by the National CTIF Committee of Finland in cooperation with Mr Jorma Ojala from the Rescue Department of Lapland. CTIF would like to thank Mr Ojala for making this event possible.
