Web Page & Communications: Bjorn Ulfsson
Björn Ulfsson is a video journalist, writer and web content manager in the field of Educational Video for Firefighters, with a background in Print Media and Television.

Since 2022, he is also engaged in the Swedish National CTIF Committee, the CTIF Nordic Cooperation and SSOC (CTIF Scientific and Strategic Commission). He has an advisory role on the CTIF Executive Committee.
My experience working with firefighters and other first responders dates back to 2008, when I started working for a Swedish government body then called The Swedish Rescue Services Agency (SRSA) , now MSB.se (The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency).
Beyond video production, I was often the communication link between high ranking officials, fire chiefs or officers, and at times police or ambulance workers, needing to communicate complicated matters in written or spoken words, images, videos and 3D-graphics.
Topics ranged from Lessons Learned from Terrorism & National Security to Line of Duty Deaths, new technology within Fire & Rescue and a fair deal of technical material regarding the inner workings of Fire Dynamics.
I have worked with first responders in many countries, including Canada, the US and various parts of Europe, often bringing home valuable and unique lessons learned that could not have been communicated as effectively as a Power Point presentation or a Word-document.
I have more than two decades of experience in video production, and more than two decades within the media field. I have worked for the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) as Head of the Video Department for 90 Seconds Video Series, where I dealt with all aspects of video production, from pre-production, production and post-production. I also have many years of
experience as a journalist and a photographer, for both print media and web.
This work at the MSB gave me the opportunity to plan, direct, shoot, write and edit educational documentaries in various countries throughout Europe and North America. My experience there also entailed troubleshooting and coaching other videographers in their creative processes.
As Head of Department it was my responsibility to maintain production schedules and make sure deadlines were kept, coaching other media professionals in the specific knowledge necessary for producing materials intended for first responders, and training first responders to communicate through new media.
With a certificate as a National Safety Officer from the ACSA and seven years of experience working for the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, Björn has a deep understanding of topics ranging from Safety to First Response & Firefighting, National Security and technical/instructional video.
Active in video production since 2002, Björn has worked also on a wide variety of topics from TV News to Travel and Arts & Culture.
Bjorn Ulfsson started his career as a stills photographer and journalist in Sweden, and has since then lived in The Czech Republic, The Canary Islands, Spain, and Canada.
