- Registration of judges, delegation leaders and teams
Regarding 1):
Until January 15, 2026
- The pre-registration of the competition teams.
With this pre-registration you announce how many teams will probably take part in the competition in Eisenstadt, whereby the final number of teams may be determined later on.
Regarding 2):
In the period from February 1 to April 30, 2026
- The registration of referees for the (Traditional) International Fire Brigade Competition
The number of referees, which may be nominated by a nation for the International Fire Brigade Competitions, has been determined by the Commission “International Fire Brigade Competitions” and can be found in the Announcement.
o The registration of Delegation Leaders
Each Nation’s teams will be headed by a Delegation Leader. Additionally, every nation can provide a trainer. That means, when a nation provides teams for the International Fire Brigade Competitions, it is headed by one Delegation Leader and one Trainer (attendant). Also each nation may send a masseur and an interpreter.
- The final registration for the International Fire Brigade Competitions
10 competition teams per nation are allowed for the Traditional International Fire Brigade Competitions in scoring groups I (Volunteer Fire Brigades) and II (Professional Fire Brigades) and additional three teams in the scoring group III (women teams). The scoring group III (women) can be extended to max. 6 teams. However, in total, not more than 13 teams are allowed per nation. The organizing nation may send one additional team. Mixed teams (men and women) will count either in scoring group I (Volunteer Fire Brigades) or II (Professional Fire Brigades).
Nations may decide, how many teams should compete in class A (without age rating) or class B (with age rating). Teams are allowed to enter class B only if every team member is at least 30 years old (the same goes for the reserve man). Important for the age rating is the year of birth. Team members older than 65 years will only be counted with 65 years. The principle for establishing the age rating is laid down in the competition rules.
For the final registration you will receive a respective link as soon as possible.
The International Organizing Committee asks all the National Associations to hand out a copy of this Announcement, together with the relevant version of the Competition Rules (https://ctif2026.at) to the registered teams and the registered referees / judges.
In conclusion, the International Organizing Committee would like to wish you good success in the preparation for the 18th International Fire Brigade Competitions.
With comradely wishes and best regards,
Eduard KAMMERER

International Competition Leader
